Tasmania Roadtrip - Week 3 - Iron Blow Lookout

The ground here at Iron Blow was first pegged out by 3 men searching for gold in 1883. They didn't find much and in 1891 it was bought by 2 men that created the Mt Lyell company. They realised it was silver and copper, not gold, that would bring them their fortune. Over the years, some of the mines were open cut and some underground. The current mine is closer to Queenstown.
